Short term/seasonal rental:

Rent out your apartment on a short term basis (minimum 3 nights).
The income can be significant, particularly during the high season
(April to October).
It can also be a good option if you wish to use your apartment quite
frequently, if you plan to come to Paris regularly or keep it available
for family and friends. You must also be aware of the costs it will
generate: agency fees, management fees and the maintenance costs
for repairs etc. Your apartment will get warn out more quickly and
you will have to keep it up to standard.

Medium to long term rental:

Usually from 3 to 6 months minimum period.
The rental income is more steady and the return on investment can
be very profitable, if rented out almost all year. If you intend to use
your apartment once or twice a year it is a good option.
Fees will be lower here but again you will have agency fees and
maintenance fees to keep it in good condition.

You must not forget that there are also the usual rental solutions that can be more adapted to your property and interesting for you.
A one year furnished apartment contract: the management fees are lower and there are fiscal advantages.
A standard 3 year rental contract: there are many demands in Paris, if you are not intending to use your apartment or if you do
not wish to invest in buying furniture and quality equipments it is a good option.
